Terms of Membership
Last updated 20 August 2026
These terms govern your membership of Fondaco. They are written to be read, not to be survived. By joining, you agree to them.
1These terms
Fondaco (“Fondaco”, “we”, “us”) operates a private membership platform. These terms are the agreement between you and us. If you do not agree with them, do not join.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and where a change materially affects your rights we will tell you before it takes effect.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to join. Membership is personal to you. You may not share your account, sell it, or give anyone else access to it — the platform is private precisely because access is controlled, and shared logins defeat that.
3What membership includes
Membership gives you access to:
- Knowledge — guides and research on structuring, tax, mobility and banking.
- Assistance — Cardinal, Mercury, and any agent we add to the core membership later.
- Community — the member space, and the gatherings we run.
We develop the platform continuously. Features are added, changed and occasionally retired. We will not remove something central to membership without telling you.
4No professional advice
Fondaco provides information, research and access. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment or immigration advice, and nothing made available through Fondaco — including any output from Cardinal, Mercury or any future agent — constitutes such advice or creates a professional relationship.
The agents can be wrong. They summarise and compare; they do not verify your particular circumstances, and rules change. Treat every answer as a starting point for a conversation with a qualified professional, never as a conclusion.
Filings, registrations and transactions are executed by licensed professionals in the relevant jurisdiction, engaged by you and at your own risk. You remain responsible for your own compliance with the laws that apply to you.
5Billing and renewal
Membership is billed annually in advance. The current price and any applicable tax are shown at checkout before you pay.
Membership renews automatically at the end of each term using the payment method on file, at the rate that applies to your membership, until you cancel. If your founding rate is locked, renewal is at that rate for as long as your membership stays continuously active.
Payment is handled by third-party card processors. We do not store your full card details.
6Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Your membership then runs to the end of the term you have already paid for, and does not renew after that.
Cancelling ends your founding rate. If you rejoin later you do so at the rate in force at that time, which will be higher.
7Refunds
Membership fees are non-refundable, including for partial terms and for periods you did not use.
The exception is technical error: if you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged an amount you did not agree to, write to info@team.fondaco.co and we will put it right.
8Conduct
The member space works because of how people behave in it. The rules are short:
- No soliciting and no selling. Do not pitch members, cold-message them about your product, or treat the space as a lead list. This is the rule we enforce most strictly.
- Do not take member information outside. Names, details and anything shared in confidence stay in the space.
- Do not misrepresent yourself — who you are, what you have built, or what you are qualified to advise on.
- Nothing unlawful, and nothing that puts other members at risk.
Community guidelines published in the member space form part of these terms and may be updated as the community grows.
9What you post
You keep ownership of everything you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it within the platform, so that we can operate the service and show your contributions to other members. The licence exists to run the platform and for nothing else.
You are responsible for what you post, and for having the right to post it.
10Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove a member who breaches these terms or the community guidelines. For serious breaches — soliciting, exposing member information, misrepresentation — we may do so immediately and without warning.
Removal for breach does not entitle you to a refund of any part of your fee.
11The platform and third parties
The member space runs on Buzz, a self-hosted community platform, available through your browser and through its applications. The agents are built on third-party AI infrastructure. Parts of the service therefore depend on providers we do not control, and their availability is not something we can guarantee.
12Availability
We work to keep the platform running and will not take it down without reason, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, tax liabilities, penalties or professional fees — including any arising from decisions you took in reliance on information or agent output obtained through Fondaco.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts of the State of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
