Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 August 2026
What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. This covers the website and the member platform.
1Scope
This policy applies to the Fondaco website and to the member platform, including the agents. Fondaco is operated from the United States and your information is processed there.
2What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and anything you add to your profile.
- Billing information — handled by third-party card processors. We receive confirmation of payment and the details needed for our records. We do not store your full card number.
- What you post — messages, replies and files you share in the member space.
- Your conversations with the agents — the questions you ask Cardinal and Mercury, and the answers they give. See clause 4.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type.
3How we use it
- To give you access to the platform and keep your account working.
- To answer your questions through the agents.
- To take payment and keep financial records.
- To keep the member space safe and enforce the community guidelines.
- To improve the platform and the agents.
- To send you member email about the service, and about things we add.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4Your conversations with the agents
This clause matters more than the others, so it is stated plainly.
- Conversations are stored. What you ask Cardinal and Mercury, and what they answer, is retained against your account.
- Conversations are used to improve the service. We use them to evaluate answer quality, to correct failures, and to make the agents better at the questions members actually ask.
- Conversations are processed by third-party AI providers. The agents are built on external AI infrastructure, and your questions are sent to those providers in order to be answered.
Members discuss real financial and personal circumstances with the agents. If there is something you would not want stored, do not put it in a prompt — and use general terms rather than names, account numbers or identifying details where you can.
5Who else sees it
We share information with the service providers who make the platform work: hosting and infrastructure, card processors, our email provider, analytics, and the AI providers behind the agents. They receive only what they need in order to perform their function.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the platform or its members.
6Where it is held
Your information is stored and processed in the United States, and may be processed in other countries where our service providers operate. By using Fondaco you understand that your information will be handled outside your own country and under laws that may differ from your own.
7How long we keep it
We keep your account information, your posts and your agent conversations for as long as your membership is active.
After your membership ends we keep them for a further period so that you can return without losing your history, and so that we can meet our financial and legal record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see clause 8.
8Your choices
You can, at any time:
- See and correct your account details in the platform.
- Delete individual posts you have made.
- Unsubscribe from member email using the link in any message.
- Close your account.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@team.fondaco.co.
Deletion requests are honoured except where we are required to keep something — payment records, for instance. We will tell you if that applies.
9Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use analytics to understand how the site and platform are used — which pages people read, which features they use, where things break.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block the ones that keep you signed in, the platform will not work properly.
10Email
We send two kinds of email: messages you need in order to use your membership — receipts, renewals, security notices — and member email about the platform and what we are adding. You can unsubscribe from the second at any time. You cannot unsubscribe from the first while your membership is active.
11Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and providers who maintain their own security standards. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you.
12Children
Fondaco is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
13Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will tell you before a material change takes effect.
